DENDRITES is a southern metal rock 4-piece from Greece, initially conceived as an idea somewhere in 2013 by Thanasis (ex-Rafferty Rules) who traded his bass for a guitar and started to compose a number of new songs for a possible future album.

After several experimental recording sessions (after which 'Devilshead' – one of the band's very first songs – was born), in the summer of 2014 Thanasis recruited Jim (Volos Jazz Orchestra) on the drums, and soon Alekos (ex-Die Without) joined in as their bassist. Under the working name 'Devilshead', the band's first incarnation recruited Chris (ex-Rafferty Rules) as their vocalist and changed their name to Longest Mile. With this line-up, the band started intensive rehearsals, re-working their old material while constantly composing new tunes.

After months of hard work, the time was ripe for the band to hit the studio where they completed the recording sessions of the drums for some 17 brand new songs. During the most part of 2015, Thanasis, Alekos, Jim and Chris spent endless hours at Thanasis' home-turned-into-a-studio in recording guitar parts and bass lines, working on vocal parts, lyrics and melodies, and choosing among the songs that would comprise the playlist for their debut album.

In the beginning of 2016, with most of the music in place and more than halfway through with recording sessions for the vocals, Chris and the band decided amicably to part ways due to working commitments. After few unofficial auditions, Thanasis decided to take over both vocal duties and lead guitars and it was time for George to step in and take over rhythm guitars. With the addition of George, the band solidified its line-up as it currently stands and it concluded upon its final band name, DENDRITES.

In September 2016, DENDRITES released their debut full-length and self-titled album, comprising 10 original tunes of the band. In October 2016, the band released its first video clip for the song "Whiskey Preachin' Motherfucker". In November-December 2016, Dendrites shared the stage with the likes of Tardive Dyskinesia, Potergeist, and In a Testube, playing shows in Volos (Cafe Santan and Lab Art), Larissa (Larissa Sports Center) and Thessaloniki (Eightball Club).
